A multifunctional herb mixture mixed from hand-picked herbs from Czech meadows, groves and forests. Carefully selected herbs of the best quality with a wider range of uses. The name "Hierbas Mágicas" means "magic herbs" in Spanish.
The REST mixture - originally called REST&CHILL - was the first mixture I mixed and fell in love with. It contains my favorite herbs, which include lavender, chamomile, calendula, thyme and cornflower. Together with other herbs, they form a relaxing mixture that I like to use in the evening for relaxation and rest. This blend is the most aromatic and distinctive of all. The full composition and methods of use can be found below.
The packaging is made of compostable material.
The first inspiration to mix my own herbal mixtures came a few years ago, when I moved to Costa Rica and bought the first herbal mixture from the local shamans, which was intended for inhalation and cleaning spaces with smoke. That was at a time when I was getting rid of unwanted bad habits and looking for anything that would help me. Herbal mixtures enchanted me and I began to learn how to mix herbal mixtures from shamans. One of the women came from Lithuania and knew her way around herbs growing in the Czech countryside. At first, I mixed the mixtures for my own use and gave them to friends. However, the interest in herbs grew and I finally mixed three recipes, which I developed to my satisfaction with the Czech herbalists Naturway and Byliny Mikeš. I am very happy that today I can present to you products that have become an integral part of my everyday life. In a paper, in a mug and in the bath.
Possible uses of mixtures:
- The great thing is that Hierbas Mágicas have many uses and it is up to you which one you choose. You can try them all and over time you will find out which suits you best.
- I like to roll the mixtures in a rolling paper. Whether alone or mixed with some other magical herb, I always grind them in a grinder first and use a carbon filter.
- Herbs can also be used as room fumigants. I place about one spoonful of herbs on hot coals in a censer or smoking pot, i.e. a container intended for smoking (I like to use an abalone shell or various bowls and containers made of earthenware, ceramics or metal). I let the room smell of herbal smoke. I also like to mix the mixtures with resin intended for smoke cleansing.
- The herbal mixture is also an excellent tea. I simply infuse the herbs in hot water like when I prepare any other herbal tea (temperature approx. 80 degrees for 5 minutes)
- I also love Hierbas Mágicas as an aid for my home wellness, see recipe below.
RECIPE for herbal peeling
In a bowl, I mix 1 tablespoon of herbs, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, honey or molasses, 1 tablespoon of coarse Himalayan or sea salt, 1-2 tablespoons of almond or other skin oil and mix. While I fill the bath, I let it rest for a while. Then I apply the mixture to a clean face and let myself be carried away by the scent of the herbs. After five minutes, I massage my face with an herbal scrub (I use it as a scrub). After that, I rinse the herbal mixture from my face with water and let it smell and fade in the water in the bath.
